Tried a bit of crochet recently with some wool I bought from a charity shop for next to nothing. I'm planning on lining the bag on the left with some nice fabric. Here is another picture of a corner of my latest quilt, which I'm in the process of hand quilting at the moment. It's 90 x 90, which is big enough for a double bed. I think will definitely be the last bed sized quilt I make for a long time as they take so long to quilt! Unfortunately it won't be finished in time for John to transport it to Crete, however I will probably be able to use it at home.

I realised yesterday that there was a problem with my digital camera. Did a bit of internet research and it looks like it will be terminal as they don't manufacture the parts any more. Can anyone recommend a good 'point and shoot' pocket sized camera which doesn't cost the earth?

Just heard that School's closed today after a heavy snowfall, yippee!! This means I can have a sewing day which is just what I feel like doing. I might also make some nice hearty soup for lunch later.

Well it's been a long while since my last post but life has been busy busy here with being back at work after Christmas. This is my latest patchwork quilt under construction. I am hoping to get the whole thing hand quilted over the winter so I can send it to our house in Crete with John in the spring. It's a double sized bedspread, or will be when it's finished. There are lots of metallic print fabrics in the quilt and it looks very bright and cheerful, just like Crete!

Well a good weekend was had by all. We had relatives to stay and I drove a 200 mile round trip on Saturday to take Emily for a photo shoot in Darwen, Lancashire.
